Thank you for attending the 2009 AMIA Spring Congress.  The purpose of this website is to allow attendees to claim CME/CE credit, evaluate the Spring Congress, and/or receive a certificate of attendance.  To receive CME/CE credit you must register at this site and complete the evaluation.

To receive the appropriate certificate, physicians should select the physician profession to receive CME; nurses should select one of the nursing professions to receive nursing credit; and other health professionals should select the appropriate professional role for a certificate of attendance.

This information will be used by AMIA for the sole purpose of issuing continuing education credit, collecting evaluation data, processing attendance, and maintaining records for accreditation purposes.

  3. Select all tutorials and scientific sessions you attended and complete their associated evaluations.

Overview:
The 2009 AMIA Spring Congress will be held May 27 - 30, at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel in Orlando, Florida. We intend to bring the finest minds from industry, government, academic, and non-profit sectors to engage in a process that will leave each attendee with new knowledge, new professional associations, and renewed energy to move informatics forward.  The following session topic tracks will be offered:

• Public Health Informatics: Presentations that combine the domains of health information science and technology with the practice and science of public health to assure and to improve the health of populations. Examples may include (not exclusive) biosurveillance, emergency preparedness, case reporting, etc.
• Global eHealth: Presentations that focus on the use of information and communications technology to improve the access, efficiency and quality of global health services, particularly in low-resource settings. Examples may include (not exclusive) Open MRS, AMIA’s 10x10/20/20, telehealth, etc.
• Clinical Research Informatics: Presentations that focus on informatics approaches to advancing clinical discovery and advancing clinical care. Examples may include (not exclusive) BIRN, caBIG, etc.
• Informatics Practice-based Research: Presentations that deal with studies of the implementation, testing, and evaluation of informatics discoveries in practice. Examples may include (not exclusive) CDSS, Workflow Modeling, Usability, EHRs/PHRs, etc.
